Teacher Thank You Cards

My son needed two quickie teacher thank you note cards this week, so I purchased the Hero Arts little Chinese boy with the rice bowl stamp from Ben Franklin Crafts because the boy looks so happy and grateful. I stamped lots of images on semi-glossy paper and colored them before punching out the squares. Then following my college art teacher's advise, "multiple images in odd numbers", I assembled the card with pop-dots and a TAJ stamped word 'Arigato' (thank you). Finally, to add just the right dimensional touch I added K and Co. strawberry stickers to one card and a Papercraft paper crane sticker plus glitter 'rice' to the other. On the envelope flap I stamped one of my favorite Asian sayings, "May your rice bowl never be empty." (I don't know who made this rubber stamp.) The cards turned out well, but I realized that the boy was Chinese and the sentiment Japanese. When I pointed this out to my son, he said, "That's all right mom, all Asians look alike".
