Vintage-Style Valentine Card
The seed for this card was planted the last time I shopped at Viva Las Vegas Stamps. This small shop is filled (stuffed) with rubber stamps and I spent a great deal of time there. Among the goodies I brought home the adorable stamp with the two 'sweetie' girls. At first I was going to use the stamp for a birthday card but that birthday passed so I decided to make a Christmas card but I ran out of time so all the vintage stuff I saved to go on the card were put into a plastic zip bag. Ah, and now Valentine's Day is less than a month away so I thought ......Lynn, get out that vintage card stuff and make a card now! By adding a few hearts here and there, I did it! I finally finished my vintage card. The papers used on the card were from my scrap box as were the ribbon and rickrack. The heart buttons are a Pebbles product and the flowers are from Prima. I used die-cut cardstock hearts from K and Co. and the stamps used for the ' A Special Friend' label are from Hero Arts. The heart-tipped corsage pins and doily are Little Yellow Bicycle products. The pink rose and doily were hand tinted with Distress ink because they were a little too white for the vintage-look I wanted to acheive. Almost all the materials used on this card were purchased from Ben Franklin Crafts. I am dedicating this card to all my blogging friends who never cease to amaze me and provide me with a connection to the world of crafting. You are all 'special friends' to me.
