I created this card to make use of an extra fussy cut (Art Impression) image that had a paper pieced dress and to try out a new (to me) Spellbinders die that cut out the twine holes and ribbon slits.
The Art Impression sentiment was stamped inside the card and an American Crafts birthday cake rub-on was added. The eyelet tag is also an American Crafts product as is the yellow flowered card blank. Because of the eyelet, the tag can be swiveled so it can fit in an envelope.
Even though I didn't have any ideas initially, this card turned out well and I am happy to have another birthday card to add to my stash. It gives me such a good feeling to be able to give a handmade card.

You did awesome paper piecing her pretty outfit... They are such funny women! LOL!
Hehehe, this is cute, love her hat, it reminds me of the ones I've seen at Disneyland, do her candles light up too? hehehe, fantastic add to your stash, love when that happens.
PS, I got your email and apologize for not replying yet, I too just got back from a little vacation to LV. I'm so happy you liked the card/calendar and I feel honored that you have it on display. *blushing*
Thank you, have a fantastic week!
That is super cute!! I love it!!
Fun birthday card! That Ai stamped image is great...and like that funny matching sentiment too. That spellbinders die with the holes for ribbon and twine threading looks pretty neat!
