Circle Pop-Up Halloween Card

I love this circle card because it is incredibly easy but looks like it took a lot of effort.  The base of the card is what makes it special. (I found the template in a Magnolia magazine.)  With the Martha Stewart scoreboard and circle cutter it's a snap to make the base from printed cardstock (Imaginisce).  First, cut out a 6" circle and then score the fold lines making sure you align the printed design the way you want it. Cut the slit and  do the folds to form the card.  Next I cut out the two squarish pieces using the Spellbinders Nestabilities (labels two) and a circle using a 2" punch.  I used Hero Arts stamps for the words and decorated with Recollections stickers.  There are so many wonderful Halloween items at Ben Franklin Crafts; you gotta go check them out. Have fun creating your own circle pop-up Halloween card!

Since there have been a few requests for my lilikoi curd recipe (see last post), I decided to share the recipe on this post.  This is basically the same recipe for lemon curd that I had on my blog a long time ago:

Lemon (Lilikoi) Curd

3 large egg yolks strained
Zest of one lemon (don't add this for the lilikoi)
1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice or lilikoi
6 T. sugar (for lower sugar version use 3 T. Splenda Blend)
4 T. cold butter cut up in small pieces

Whisk together yolks, juice, zest and sugar in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat (5-7min.) stirring  until mixture coats the spoon.  Add the butter pieces slowly until they are all combined.  Pour curd into a clean jar and refrigerate.

Very cute Lynn! I haven't seen one made out of a circle but this is very clever.

Ahhh...a new kind of card! I'm always in search of new card ideas, and will definitely add this one to my list of "gotta try".
Kinda looks like a step style card but in a circle shape...neat! Thank you too, for the lemon/lilikoi curd recipe...hey, it doesn't sound too hard to make...!
